Exporting Personal Data

Regardless of whether you are considering to change your provider or just want to save your personal data elsewhere - you can export your personal data (e-mails, contacts, appointments, files) from your mail.ch account at any time. Simply log into your account via our portal https://mail.ch and follow the steps described.

Exporting E-Mails

If you would like to download an e-mail, simply select the desired file and click on "Actions / Download". The email is then downloaded in open EML format. Several selected e-mails are automatically compressed into a zip archive after clicking on "Actions / Download", which is then downloaded. The individual emails are located in the zip archive as EML files.

Exporting contacts from the address book

If you would like to export contacts from your mail.ch address book, simply select the desired contacts using the checkbox and click on "Actions / Export". Your selection will immediately be listed again for an overview. Here you can deselect contacts that may not be exported. For the final export, click either on the "CSV" or "vCard" button. Your contacts will be exported in the format you chose. If you want to export distribution lists, you can only use the CSV export.

Of course, you can export your contacts using a CardDAV-enabled program.

Exporting appointments & calendar

If you would like to export contacts from your mail. co.uk address book, simply select the desired contacts using the checkbox and click on "Actions / Export". Your selection will immediately be listed again for an overview. Here you can deselect contacts that may not be exported. For the final export, click either on the "CSV" or "vCard" button. Your contacts will be exported in the format you want. If you want to export distribution lists, you can only use the CSV export.

Of course, you can export your contacts using a CardDAV-enabled program.

Download files from online storage

If you would like to download a file, simply select the desired file and click on "Download". If you would like to download several files, select the desired files using the checkbox and click on "Download". A single download process is initiated for each file. You can select up to 5 files to download at once.

To download several files at the same time, you can compress (zip) them to form an archive. To do this, select the desired files using the checkbox, click on "Compression / Compress", select a name for the archive (zip file) and confirm by clicking on "OK".

The zip archive is created in the folder in which the archived files are located. If you set a filter before selecting, you may have selected files that are not in the same directory. In this case you will find the zip archive in the file entrance.

Of course, you can export your files using a WebDAV-enabled program.
