Daily send limit
Depending on your subscription (FreeMail, PlusMail) there are daily sending limits:
FreeMail: 50 e-mails / 24 hours
PlusMail: 500 e-mails / 24 hours
Please note that an e-mail to multiple recipients is not counted as one e-mail. Each individual recipient receives your e-mail and is counted for this reason.
The daily sending limit is not reset at a specific time of the day. Once the limit has been reached, it is continuously adjusted. You can therefore send a certain number of e-mails again after a relatively short time period. On the start page of your webmailer (https://my.mail.ch) you will find a "widget" that shows your current status at all times.
Here are some examples of the adjustment process after reaching the sending limit:
FreeMail: 50 e-mails / 24 hours = 2.08 e-mails / hour = 1 e-mail / 30 minutes. This means that after reaching the limit, a new e-mail is released every 30 minutes. If you do not send another e-mail for 24 hours, 50 e-mails are possible again.
PlusMail: 500 e-mails / 24 hours = 20 e-mails / hour = 1 e-mail / 3 minutes. This means that after reaching the limit, a new mail is released every 3 minutes. If you do not send another mail for 24 hours, 500 e-mails are possible again.
You can of course increase your sending limit by upgrading your current e-mail subscription. You can find more information about our different e-mail packages here: https://mail.ch/en/products/
The error message you receive when you reach the sending limit is:
Die Anzahl E-mails pro Tag ist zu hoch. Your sender rate is over limits. Bei Fragen schreiben Sie uns gern mit der exakten Fehlermeldung eine E-Mail an support@mail.de
